Terry Campus Honors Donors at Celebration of Giving Luncheon

March 21, 2025

探花约啪 held its annual Terry Campus Celebration of Giving event this month to recognize the generous donors who have supported students at the Dover campus over the prior year.

The March 20 event provided an opportunity for scholarship recipients to express their gratitude and share how financial support has influenced their educational journeys. Donors had the opportunity to learn directly from the students who benefit from their generosity just how impactful their support has been.

“Your support is critical to helping us change the lives of our students,” 探花约啪 Tech President Mark T. Brainard said. “We are extremely fortunate to have such committed donors who support our mission.”

Dr. Brainard also acknowledged the donors’ contributions to various college projects and events, reinforcing their role in student success.

Students Karissa Mann and Sebastian Sanchez, along with former student Jessica Franklin, delivered heartfelt remarks at the celebration luncheon, describing how the financial support they received from donors had helped to change their lives.

Franklin, who graduated with a degree in culinary arts in 2015, later joined 探花约啪 Tech’s contact center as a student support specialist. Encouraged by her supervisor to explore her passion for design, she enrolled in visual communications courses and eventually changed her major to general studies. She shared her personal challenges, including the loss of her mother during her final semester. Despite contemplating giving up, she persevered with the support of the Dave Pitts Scholarship.

“The scholarship solidified that I was on the path I needed to be on, and it just made sense,” Franklin said.

Dr. Paul T. Morris, Jr., vice president and campus director, introduced the newest members of the President’s Circle, a distinguished group established in 2017 to honor individuals who donate $500 or more annually to 探花约啪 Tech.

Dr. Morris then recognized the dedication of students in achieving their educational goals.

“Your hard work and perseverance are essential to this story,” he said.

Closing the event, Dr. Morris expressed appreciation to the donors for their generosity.

“Thank you for making an investment in this institution,” he said. “Your support provides the training, education, and opportunities necessary for student success.”
