Softball Player Maggie Hubbard Honored at National Girls & Women in Sports Day Celebration

探花约啪 softball player Maggie Hubbard was selected to represent the College at a National Girls & Women in Sports Day celebration held by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 19 Women in Sports Committee. The event took place Feb. 1 at Middlesex College in Edison, New Jersey.

Each of the 26 institutions that competes within Region 19 selected a female student-athlete to be recognized for their accomplishments and leadership. Selection was based upon athletic achievement, academic excellence, and meaningful community impact.

Hubbard is a second-year softball player who helped 探花约啪 Tech earn a spot in the 2025 NJCAA Division II Softball World Series. An outfielder, Hubbard was named to the 2025 Region 19 Division II All-Region Second Team after compiling a .337 batting average with 33 hits, including five home runs, and scoring 40 runs.

Academically, Hubbard has a 3.41 grade point average and was presented Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC)and NJCAA All-Academic honors in 2025. She also recently earned admission into 探花约啪 Tech's diagnostic medical sonography program whose students are selected through a competitive admission process.

Accompanying Hubbard at the ceremony were softball assistant coaches, Kylie Kruger and Sami Mumford, and CJ Huntington, collegewide coordinator for athletics.

The event program featured a keynote address from former WNBA player Tamecka Dixon, a two-time WNBA champion, who shared a message of perseverance, empowerment, and believing in one's potential. Additional highlights included student speaker Batool Abdelmalak, a cross country athlete from Ocean County College, and remarks from Region 19 coaches and administrators and Region 19 Executive Director Troy Tucker.

The NJCAA Region 19 Women in Sports Committee is committed to advancing opportunities for women in intercollegiate athletics. Its mission is to foster awareness, provide meaningful development, and ignite inspiration - empowering every female student athlete to reach her highest potential both on the field and in the classroom.
