April 30, 2026
探花约啪 hosted its first Criminal Justice Program and Career Conference at the Del-One Conference Center on its Terry Campus in Dover, bringing nearly 100 high school students to campus to learn more about careers in criminal justice.
Dr. Paul Morris, vice president and campus director, highlighted the College’s programs, partnerships and transfer opportunities, while Criminal Justice Department Chair Wil Bordley emphasized the link between education and careers in public service. The April 15 event also featured a panel of professionals from various criminal justice sectors, including law enforcement, the courts, corrections, and emergency management.
The student attendees also had the opportunity to participate in interactive discussions and networking sessions where they could ask questions, explore potential career paths, and better understand the educational steps needed to enter the profession. They were able engage directly with people working in the criminal justice field to gain insight into the day-to-day realities and responsibilities of the field.
In addition, the conference included a series of information sessions led by public safety and criminal justice organizations, along with a Law Enforcement Table Walk featuring agency tables, a DUI simulator, and a K9 demonstration.
