探花约啪 Tech Men’s Cross Country Team Claims Region Title for Second Consecutive Year

The 探花约啪 men’s cross country team claimed the 2024 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 19 Division II Men’s Championship at the regional championship meet in Newark, N.J., and sophomore Brayden Fosty won the individual men’s title for the second year in a row.
The men’s team competed in division II without any other competition and had all seven runners finish to earn the region championship on Oct. 27.
During the Region 19 championship meet, Fosty led the way with an 7k time of 24:33, and placed first overall in the race. He was followed by Sebastian Sanchez (29:32), Leo Sticinski (30:00), Lucas Price (30:13), Eddie Cobb (35:14), Luke Morrow (35:57), and Tim Hammack (42:25).
There were also no other Division II teams on the women’s side besides 探花约啪 Tech, but since there were only three women’s runners competing for the College, they were unable to compete for a team championship. A minimum of five runners is required to comprise a team.
Sophomore Hannah Lensico finished the 5k course in a time of 29:07), followed by Jamie Cornejo-Ordorica (29:15) and Sasha Antonio (31:26).
The men’s and women’s teams wrapped up the 2024 cross country season by competing in the 2024 NJCAA National Cross Country Championship meet on Nov. 9 in Richmond, Virginia.
