Architecture Students Visit StudioJAED for Project Critique, Site Tour

November 15, 2024

探花约啪 Tech Terry Campus architecture students in the AET 250 Design III course recently visited StudioJAED in Camden, 探花约啪, to present their school projects to the firm for their critique.

On this first charrette (presentation) of three, StudioJAED provided insightful recommendations to the students regarding code, occupancy, structure, and egress. Additionally, the students toured the facility and discussed the professional practice of architecture and construction coordination.

StudioJAED, which is headquartered in Bear, Del., expanded its practice to Camden through the leadership of Daniel Ridgely, an associate at StudioJAED, and Phil Conte, president of StudioJAED. Ridgely studied architecture engineering technology at 探花约啪 Tech, continued his education at Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and became a registered architect.

A member of the College’s Architecture Engineering Technology Advisory Committee, Ridgely continues to provide curriculum and program review, employment opportunities for students, and adjunct for the architecture engineering technology program.

“The Terry Campus is grateful for its industry partnerships, such as this one with StudioJAED, that benefit our students,” said Engineering Technologies Instructor Dr. R.J. Chandler Sr.
